God is Good

God never ceases to amaze me how He works in my life. I can be dealing with an issue or thoughts or feelings and He puts “answers” RIGHT IN MY FACE. Like if we go to church it will be the “topic” or the songs or someone will randomly say something to me, etc.

Well, it happened again last night. I never really have time to sit and be still. Last night I got Braeden in bed, the girls (Sarah and Kelly) were running a little behind for our accountability group, my windows were all open in my house (I LOVE THAT) and I went and sat in my “big comfy chair” by a window and read a little out of my book When God Writes Your Love Story. Hope to be finished with that book soon! It has been SO HELPFUL! But here is what I read last night…..

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength. Isaiah 30:15

“In His ever-gentle way He wants to lift us up on His lap, wrap His big strong arms around us, wipe away our tears of longing and pain, and whisper in our ears, “It’s all right, little child. Just rest your head on My shoulder. I will take care of you. This world is always in a hurry, but I teach My children patience. Live, expecting a full and joyous life. And learn to trust My perfect timing so that you may discover that all the pain found in waiting has a magnificent and awesome purpose.”

Patience is more than endurance. A saint’s life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow in the hands of an archer. God is aiming at something the saint cannot see, and He stretches and strains, and every now and again the saint says—“I cannot stand any more.” God does not heed, He goes on stretching till His purpose is in sight, then He lets fly. Trust yourself in God’s hands. Maintain your relationship to Jesus Christ by the patience of faith. “Though He slay me, yet will I wait for Him.”
