(I am now posting a little irritated because my FIRST post deleted itself or something!)
Ok....exhale...lets try this again....
I started out by saying that it has been WAY too long since I have posted. I am not sure how the time gets away like that!??!?!
Braeden is now 4!!!! Seems so crazy....how is it possible that my BABY is 4?!?!?!? He turned 4 on July 29th. He is SO VERY proud to be 4. He tells EVERYONE and I do mean EVERYONE that he is 4 now. We had his party on the 26th and for his actual birthday we went to Holiday World with Jake and Marisa. We had A LOT of fun, despite the terrible heat, at Holiday World. Marisa and I don't get to spend enough time together. Those boys were so worn out that they crashed on the way home...which was in our plans. :) She and I actually got a PEACEFUL ride home with no interruptions (except when we stopped to get food and we didn't get them any because they were sleeping and it was so funny.....you had to be there!! we laughed so hard!!!) ah hem...anyway-lol....we got to actually have a conversation. It was so good.
For those of you who know Braeden you know that child has been waiting to play on ANY kind of sports team since he was about 18 months old. For those of you who know him, you also know that he is pretty talented...at all sports...his favorite being baseball, but also football, basketball, and hockey. He FINALLY gets to play on a team!!!!!!!!!! He is starting flag football tonight (if it doesn't rain). He has his first practice. His friend Jake (mentioned above) just started soccer and has shin guards and cleats. Last time we were over at their house Braeden wore the cleats and shin guards around for probably over an hour. He just LOVES everything associated with sports. I reiterated the fact that this was FLAG football...not to be confused with TACKLE football. lol. Although, I don't have high hopes of making it through their season without someone getting "leveled" by Braeden. He says he understands....my fingers are crossed....his probably are too behind his back! LOL.
I have had the opportunity to reconnect with some friends from the past through Facebook. It has been really good. I am actually going to spend the weekend next weekend with a friend in Chicago. I am very excited to see them again. Can't even remember the last time I saw them, but I know they have never seen Braeden....so it has been a while. I am SO EXCITED to go!!!!
Well, I have changed jobs yet again. Pretty excited about it though. I am now working for Community (Gallahue). It has been a very positive change for me so far. The county I am working for has just received a grant for Systems of Care. I am heading that up and coordinating this process. If you care to know what that is, you can google Systems of Care. It's pretty cool actually. :) (I explained more about it in the FIRST blog that got deleted.)
Overall-things are really good right now. God is good. :) I am enjoying life. I can see His ever-present hand in everything in my life....Braeden, friendships, jobs, etc. It's been really good. I am daily learning to trust Him, and He never fails me. I know His plan is perfect and that is all I want these days...His plan.
