My POOR baby!!!

Have you ever had to hold your child down while they get a shot at the doctor's office? Of course! All of us have. :) It is part of being a parent. So, you all know how that goes. The nurse holds their legs (sometimes) and you hold their arms. One to four shots and they are done. It is quick and over before you know it. Keep that experience in your mind. Can you imagine having to hold your four year old down and as still as possible while the nurse pricks him 59 times??? That is what we went through today. I knew Braeden was physically strong, but MY GOODNESS! I could barely hold him. The first three he did ok on. The first three he just said "ow", "ow", "ow". After that....he was over it! This child screamed like someone was killing him. He went through 52 pokes in the back (where you see the writing and aftermath) and then we waiting 15 minutes. They came back in and read them and then he went through 7 more (5 on the right arm and 2 on the left arm), but these were with seringes. All that being said, I am GLAD it is over. I actually had a brief moment when I thought "they are done...no more...we are leaving"! But I was strong (LOL) and we both survived.

So.....he tested positive for 16 different things. Mostly under the categories of tree pollens, grass, and weeds, and a couple molds. What does all this mean? I am not really sure. Hopefully this information will help us in the future when he gets his usualy "sickness". The allergist said he didn't want to start allergy shots yet, but we will see. He said next time he gets "sick" come there first...when the symptoms start and maybe we can head it all off.

I will keep you all updated on what unfolds in the future.

Sidenote: I think the thing that has worked the best is his pediatrician treating him with the Z pack (arythimyacin sp?) for his pneumonia. It took all the symptoms away. :)

After the Injections

He was such a trooper, bless his heart. He wanted to be brave and of course I told him no matter how loud he screamed and cried he was brave because he made it through!!! :) It was so awful to have to put him through that!!!!

After it was all over...he even came home and helped me make dinner (we had breakfast for dinner). He cooked the scrambled eggs TOTALLY by himself (except I stirred them in the skillet). What a BIG boy!
