Fisher of Men

What an AWESOME weekend!!! Kelly, Sarah and I went to the Fisher of Men conference this weekend. It was such a great time!!! Evangelist, Mark Cahill, was there leading the conference. Andy Lapins was also there speaking. Mark Cahill is an AWESOME man of God who is teaching others to share the Word of God. Not only does he teach this, but he lives it out in his DAILY life. I learned so much!!!! Not only did I learn a lot, but I was able to gain some wisdom, confidence, and boldness in my life as someone who shares the Good News. I am going to blog more about my weekend in the next day or so, but I really just need some time to process everything. There was so much information that I would like to share!!!! Need to really think about how I want to lay it out on here. But here is something I want to get out there to everyone tonight. Please check out his website at www.markcahill.org . Also wanted to pass on some information about two of his books that he has written. If you do not have a copy, PLEASE PLEASE get one and read it! They are so good and you will learn SO MUCH!!!

This information that I am posting on the books comes directly from Mark's webpage.

People have asked me, since I talk to a lot of people and do a lot of witnessing, to write a book based on my conversations with lost people, specifically to those who are seeking and searching—a book that would anticipate their questions and speak to their objections. One Heartbeat Away is exactly that.

So many lost people I’ve talked to want to know, “Is this all a blind faith issue, or can it be a legitimate, calculated leap of faith?” This book provides answers to that question as well as the following:
  • Can you prove there is a God?
  • Doesn’t evolution disprove the existence of God?
  • Can you prove the Bible true?
  • What is out there after I die?
All of this information is laid out in a reader friendly style, just as in my first book, One Thing You Can’t do In Heaven. There are many exciting stories you haven’t heard before—from near death experiences, to what certain celebrities believe, to a guy who is a building jumper. He actually jumps from building to building for fun. Of course, I asked him if he had ever missed before! What if I told you his answer was, “Yes.”

Even though this book is written to address issues of sharing with the nonbeliever, it will also be good for those of you who want to be armed with answers to the questions that you know you’re going to get when you are out there sharing and witnessing. You can now have the ammunition to answer their questions, with strong evidence.

Enjoy reading and sharing with others!

Are you ready for eternity? If so, are you helping others get ready for that journey into eternity that each of us must take? As believers, we all know we should tell others about the Lord, but we often don’t know how. This practical book will give you ideas for starting conversations, examples of witnessing situations, and answers to common questions, to help encourage, challenge, and equip you to reach both friends and strangers for Jesus the rest of your life!
